About Tom

Having lived and breathed animal shelter and rescue work since the age of 15, its safe to say this is my passion. A drive to learn more, led me to undertake a BSc (Hons) in Bio-veterinary Science and an MSc in Clinical Animal Behaviour at the University of Lincoln in the UK. Since graduating I am lucky to have been employed at the UK’s largest dog welfare organisation. Initially I started as a Training and Behaviour Advisor at a centre, supporting the behavioural health of around 60 dogs at one time.

I was responsible for assessing dogs, developing and implementing behaviour modification plans, supporting adopters and upskilling the centre team. After 3 years in this role I spent some time working as a Locum Training and Behaviour Officer and for the last 6 years I have been working as a Senior Training and Behaviour Advisor responsible for overseeing behaviour teams across a number of centres in the South West of the UK.
