RESCHEDULING OF APPOINTMENTS

  1. Simplifying Shelter Behaviour is a small appointments-based business with Tom also working full time for the Uks largest dog welfare organisation. Given the reactive nature of shelter and rescue work we may need to rearrange a session, Simplifying Shelter Behaviour will aim to give as much notice as possible relating to this and will priorities rebooking. We also understand this is true for our clients and offer them the ability to rebook up to 3 times within the limits of our business hours and the terms and conditions stated here.
  2. When booking with Simplifying Shelter Behaviour, please ensure you have succent time to commit to selected services. If you are unable to do this and anticipate you will be regularly rescheduling sessions, please wait until you have more available time to commit before booking. If you are booking on behalf of teams for training or animal support, please ensure teams are allowed adequate time to fully benefit.

PAYMENTS, CANCELLATIONS, TERMINATION OF CONTRACT AND REFUNDS

  1. Simplifying Shelter Behaviour reserves the right to terminate the contract (at any time and with immediate effect and no refund) if the Client or anyone with their dog is abusive towards any Simplifying Shelter Behaviour staff or volunteers.
  2. If a Client is non-compliant or withholding information with regards to the behaviour of their dog, including but not limited to aggression, which could compromise the safety of Simplifying shelter Behaviours staff or volunteers then the contract will be terminated immediately and no refund given.

 GENERAL

In person sessions are available for a minimum of a full days booking, this can include combination of services including animal support, team support or organisational support.
  2. In cases of animal support services, it is no surprise that shelter and rescues can be difficult places for successful behaviour rehabilitation and there maybe some cases where improving behavioural health is difficult or unachievable. Simplifying Shelter Behaviour makes no determination of promises of success. In cases where Euthanasia maybe a consideration or a valid welfare option Simplifying Shelter Behaviour will support discussions, but the responsibility of the decision lies with the client or organisation.
  3. Simplifying Shelter Behaviour cannot be held liable for any losses of any kind that arise from this contract or the provision of our services, save for death or personal injury caused by negligence. This clause does not attempt to avoid any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

  5. Simplifying Shelter Behaviour is the private business of Tom Candy and is in no way related to other any entity or charity. All work is independent of others unless expressly noted.
  6. Simplifying Shelter Behaviour supports up to date science-based training focusing on positive reinforcement wherever possible. We support the LIFE model of training and behaviour support. We actively disapprove the use of punitive and positive punish based training for all animals, especially those within shelter and rescue settings.
